Man Accused of Videotaping Woman in L.I. Restaurant Bathroom

A 25-year-old homeless man has been arrested for allegedly videotaping a woman in a restaurant bathroom on Long Island, Nassau County police say.

Detectives say the 58-year-old victim spotted Michael Seghposs, most recently of Whitestone, videotaping her in the bathroom of King Kullen on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset early Sunday evening.

Police say he was taking the video from a stall next to her, curving the camera underneath the partition. He tried to run off after she spotted him, but store employees held him until police officers arrived, detectives said.

Seghposs was charged with unlawful surveillance and was arraigned Monday in Hempstead. Information on an attorney wasn't available.

Detectives ask anyone who may have information about similar crimes to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
