Police are looking for a man who tried to steal $100 in toothpaste from a Bronx drugstore, police said.
The man tried to take the toothpaste from the Rite Aid at 3901 White Plains Road in Wakefield around 8:30 p.m. on Aug 4, the NYPD said.
Cops say he walked into the store, grabbed the toothpaste and tried to hide it in his backpack.
As employees tried to stop him, the man took out a knife and fled without taking the toothpaste.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspect (above). Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
