Man Struck, Killed by Train After Jumping Onto Tracks

A man in his 60s was struck and killed by an oncoming train in midtown Manhattan subway station after he jumped onto the tracks to try to fetch personal belongings that had fallen, according to officials.

The MTA said the man was hit by a C train on the tracks at the 50th Street station Saturday morning.

The man's name has not been released.
