An 11-year-old girl was ambushed from behind and had her cellphone stolen by a 25-year-old man in the Bronx, police said.
The girl was near West 180th Street and Davidson Avenue when the suspect approached her from behind shortly before 4 p.m. on Oct. 8., police said. He then aggressively removed her gray HTC phone from her hand before fleeing the scene.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident, authorities said.
