Man Stalks, Robs Octogenarian After Casino Win: DA

A man watched an 88-year-old win $1,000 at a casino in Queens, then stalked him for an hour and a half before stealing his winnings, prosecutors said.

Surveillance video shows the suspect following his victim into a bathroom at Resorts World Casino at Aqueduct Racetrack on Oct. 31, said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

The 57-year-old man followed the octogenarian onto a shuttle bus, a subway train, into a supermarket and then onto a city bus, the district attorney said.

When the pair reached the victim's apartment building, the assailant pushed the man violently and took his wallet, which contained $1,010 and a credit card, Brown said.

The man was arrested Saturday on robbery charges. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer.
