A man has been arrested after he allegedly stabbed a his stepfather  to death in Harlem Wednesday, authorities say.

Waldean Elliot, 32, is accused of stabbing Ashford Geddes of Harlem multiple times Wednesday morning. It's not clear what sparked the deadly fight.

Elliot, who has no known address, is charged with second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

Geddes, 68, worked at the The Salvation Army in Harlem. The organization called him a "valued employee."

"We are devastated by this tragedy," Major James W. Betts said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and his partners in service here at the Corps. We look forward to cooperating with the authorities as they search for answers related to this senseless act if violence."
