A 70-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was stabbed by her son in Brooklyn early Thursday, according to officials.
The 49-year-old man stabbed his mother in the stomach, abdomen and neck at about 4 a.m. in Kensington, police said. Police found the man with two self-inflicted stab wounds to the chest.
The woman was taken to Methodist Hospital. The man was taken to Lutheran Hospital where he is in stable condition and was put in police custody.
The suspect and victim’s identities were not immediately known.
