A 41-year-old man has been arrested for murder after he allegedly stabbed another man to death with scissors in his Harlem apartment building, police say.

Saladin Saunders was taken into custody after the fatal stabbing around 8 p.m. Monday after authorities discovered the victim, 45-year-old Keith Warney, with a stab wound to the neck inside the building on West 110th Street, police said.

Warney was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital. It wasn't known what prompted the stabbing.

Saunders faces murder and criminal possession of a weapon charges. It wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.
