Man Sought in Bronx Hit-Run That Injured Boy

Police are seeking a man wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident in the Bronx that left a 12-year-old boy seriously injured.

Authorities say the man was behind the wheel of a grey Mazda CX-9 on the afternoon of May 16 when he struck the boy who was in the street on Logan Avenue in Throgs Neck.

The man initially stopped and checked on the victim, but then returned to his car and took off, police said.

The boy was taken to a nearby hospital where he was treated for serious injuries, officials said.

Police have released surveillance images of the suspect's car (see above) and are asking anyone with information to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
