Man Slashed in Subway Station in Harlem: NYPD

A man was slashed on the hand after getting into an argument with someone inside a subway station in Harlem, police say.

The 42-year-old man was stabbed in the left hand and slashed in the right during the dispute near the turnstiles at the 125th Street and Lenox Avenue subway station, according to police.

The suspect fled, and the victim declined medical attention on the scene. 

The slasher is described as about 16 years old, 5 feet 5 inches tall and 140 pounds. 

where he and the suspect were waiting on the northbound no. 3 train platform at about 7 p.m., according to police. 

It's not clear where the suspect or suspects fled, or if the victim knew them. 

The injured man walked into the emergency room at Harlem Hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
