Police Arrest Suspect in Shooting Death of 49-Year-Old NYC Man

A man was shot to death in the lobby of his New York City apartment building on Saturday, police said.  

Juan Flores, 49, was found around 7:24 a.m. with a gunshot wound to his back in the lobby of his building on Webb Avenue in the Kingsbridge neighborhood of the Bronx. 

Flores was pronounced dead at St. Barnabas Hospital. 

Police have identified another 49-year-old man, Jose Quinones, as the suspect in Flores' murder. Quinones is the ex-boyfriend of Flores' girlfriend, the NYPD said. 

Police later said they arrested Quinones of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and charged him with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon. 

The investigation is ongoing.
