A man with a knife forced a 21-year-old woman waiting for a friend in the Bronx to a rooftop landing and raped her there, then took her phone and purse, authorities say.
The man forced the woman to the rooftop landing of a building on Banyer Place in Soundview at about 1 a.m. Monday, police said.
The man was seen on surveillance footage around the time of the crime on a kick scooter, police say. Authorities said he had hidden the scooter under a car during the attack and grabbed it afterwards.
The victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital for evaluation.
