Police are searching for a man who punched an 82-year-old woman who was walking in Queens, authorities said.
The octogenarian was walking near Myrtle Avenue and Seneca Street in Ridgewood when a man came up behind her and hit her on the side of the face with a closed fist, police said. The attack Thursday morning shortly before 7 a.m. caused bruising and swelling, according to the NYPD.
Police released surveillance images of the suspect and asked anyone with information to contact the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
