3 Sought in Hoboken Killing of Man Found on Fence

Authorities are looking for three people in the killing of 46-year-old Ralph Eric Santiago

Authorities in Hoboken say they're looking for three men in connection with the killing of a man whose body was found last week on an iron fence, where his neck was wedged between two fence posts.

The victim, 46-year-old Ralph Eric Santiago, was found by passersby on Third Street between Adams and Jefferson streets on Sept. 10.

Prosecutors say it appears three men followed Santiago as he was walking on Third Street and struck his head from behind for no apparent reason.

He then collapsed onto the fence.

Neighbors remained disturbed days after the murder of a man remembered as kind and deeply religious. A small memorial was set up at the fence.

"Something like that should not have happened, especially to someone who was very innocent, who has done nothing," said Brianna Rivera.

"It's sad and a shame," said Josephine Henderson. "I hope they find the person who did it."

Anyone who recognizes the men pictured is asked to contact the prosecutor's office at 201-915-1345.
