A 59-year-old man trying to cross a four-lane parkway in Brooklyn was struck and killed Saturday by a hit-and-run driver, police said.
The man was trying to cross Rockaway Parkway mid-block in Brownsville at around 2:20 a.m., when a dark sedan hit him and fled, according to police. Officers found the man lying unconscious on the parkway, and he was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police are searching for the driver.
