Man Found Shot to Death in the Bronx

A 28-year-old man was shot and killed in the Bronx early Sunday morning, police said.

Officers responding to a 911 call about an unconscious man found Bronx resident Craig Brewington unresponsive at an address on Barker Avenue in Williamsbridge just after midnight.

Authorities say he had a gunshot wound to the throat and was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the New York Post, Brewington, the father of a little girl, received a mysterious text message and asked to be driven to the building were he was found, leading relatives to believe he was lured to his death.

No arrests have been, and police say an investigation is ongoing.

A small memorial was set up outside Brewington's building Sunday, with candles and his picture.
