A man was found dead sitting on a bench inside a Midtown train station Sunday, police said.
Officers responded to a 911 call of an unconscious male within the 34th Street and 8th Avenue subway station just after 2:20 a.m., police said. Upon arrival, they found the 39-year-old victim seated on a bench unconscious and unresponsive, with no signs of trauma.
Emergency medical services pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The investigation is ongoing.
