Man Accused of Using Drone to Spy on Patients at Medical Facility: Police

A 49-year-old upstate man was arrested for allegedly flying a drone equipped with a video camera outside the windows of a medical facility where patients were being examined.

Police were called to the medical facility after patients and staff in several rooms noticed the drone hovering about 10 to 15 feet outside their windows Tuesday evening. 

David Beesmer, of Lake Katrine, was charged with unlawful surveillance, a felony. He was released on a desk appearance ticket.

Information on an attorney for him wasn't immediately available.
