Police are investigating the death of a 42-year-old man found inside a skyscraper in Lower Manhattan Wednesday evening.
Officers were called to 8 Spruce St. at about 5:45 p.m. and found the victim unconscious and unresponsive, police said. He was declared dead on the scene.
The medical examiner's office is investigating.
At 870 feet tall, the mixed-use, Frank Gehry-designed building is the tallest residential tower in the Western Hemisphere, according to its website. It houses an elementary school and luxury rental apartments.
