Man Charged in Restroom Stabbing at Manhattan Bus Terminal

Police charged a New York City man with attempted murder for allegedly stabbing a man during an argument Sunday in the men's restroom at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Aazim Green, 22, pulled out a knife during the confrontation with the 47-year-old victim and stabbed him several times, said Port Authority Police Department spokesman Joe Pentangelo

The incident happened at 6:40 a.m. and both men knew each other, he said.

Officers who were nearby heard the argument and arrested Green on attempted murder, assault, weapons possession and other charges.

The victim, whose name was not released, underwent surgery Sunday afternoon at Bellevue Hospital. Police said he was in stable condition.

It was not immediately clear whether Green had a lawyer who could comment on the charges.
