A man has been arrested on a charge of driving a boat while intoxicated after he injured himself and a passenger in a collision on Long Island, police said Saturday.
The 46-year-old crashed a 24-foot power boat into a breakwater jetty near Greenport on Friday evening, and the boat began to take on water, according to the Southold Town Police Department. Police didn't immediately release details on the injuries suffered by the driver and his female passenger. Both were taken to a hospital.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the driver, a resident of Shelton, Connecticut, had a lawyer.
