A 21-year-old man has been arrested, accused of attempting to rape a jogger in Central Park.
Police say Saul Alvarez attacked a 29-year-old woman on a path near the park's Lasker swimming pool on East 106th Street Friday night.
Alvarez allegedly came up from behind, covered the woman's mouth and tried to drag her off the path.
The woman screamed and police say Alvarez fled into the woods. He was arrested Saturday.
Information on an attorney for Alvarez was not immediately available.
