Madoff Moved to Prison Medical Facility

Bernie Madoff has reportedly been moved to a medical facility at the North Carolina prison he is in.

Madoff was sentenced in June to 150 years in jail and in July moved to the Butner Federal Prison Complex near Raleigh and Chapel Hill.

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed for CNBC that Madoff was moved to Butner's medical facility last Friday and as of today was still there.

He was admitted after expereincing dizziness and high blood pressure and is staying for observation, according to the New York Times. The BOP denied reports earlier this year that Madoff had been diagnosed with cancer.

His lawyer, attorney Ira Sorkin, declined to comment.
