MTV to Air “True Life” Special on Occupy Wall Street

Documentary to air Nov. 5

MTV says it will be airing a documentary special on the Occupy Wall Street movement, which started in New York City on Sept. 17 and has grown into an increasingly organized global movement since its inception.

Part of its "True Life" series, the special, called "True Life: I'm Occupying Wall Street" is set to air Saturday, Nov. 5, at 6 p.m. EST.

MTV embedded with protesters at Zuccotti Park for the television special, visiting the financial district sit-in and profiling a group of 20-somethings to "see how they're feeling about the event," according to its website.

"The protests come at a time when the future seems grim not just for the millions who've been out of work and looking for jobs for several years, but for a younger generation that is just entering their prime earning years," MTV said on its website explaining the genesis of the documentary.
