Woman Crossing Street in Bronx Hit, Killed by MTA Bus: FDNY

The woman was attempting to cross in Co-op City when an MTA bus struck her, the FNDY says

A woman was fatally struck by an MTA bus in the Bronx while attempting to cross the street, authorities say.

The 74-year-old pedestrian was attempting to cross at Co-op City Boulevard and Dreiser Loop in Co-op City when the bus hit her, according to the FDNY.

She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as Gloria Mabry of the Bronx. 

The bus driver remained on the scene, and no charges have been filed. 

Investigation is ongoing.
