A Long Island social worker seeking revenge on her 9-year-old daughter's bullying classmate is in court today on charges she posted erotic ads on Craigslist and referred men to the young girls' home phone number.
Margery Tannenbaum, 40, said a classmate was verbally harassing her young daughter for more than a year before she resorted to soliciting men online with sexy ads and then passing along the alleged bully's home digits.
Tannenbaum, of Hauppague, would e-mail respondents the girl's phone number over a two-month period earlier this year as the girl's mother frantically tried to to intercept the calls. She eventually alerted police.
She "e-mailed the respondents the phone number of one of her daughter's classmates, a 9-year-old girl, prompting telephone calls to the girls home," Suffolk District Attorney Thomas Spota said.
Tannenbaum was arrested on May 5 and will be arraigned on changes second degree aggravated harassment in Central Islip today.
