Man Driving Illegal Taxi Flashed Long Island Girl, 6: Police

A Long Island man allegedly driving an illegal taxi is accused of exposing himself to a 6-year-old girl riding in the back of his car, police say.

Neri Garcia-Ramos, 36, was arrested Thursday in connection with the exposure on Dec. 28 in Roosevelt, according to Nassau County police.

Police say the suspect was called to pick up the girl at her aunt’s house in Freeport and was supposed to take her to her home in Roosevelt. Police say that during the ride, Garcia-Ramos allegedly pulled over to a side street, climbed over the back seat and exposed himself to the girl.

When the girl started crying, the suspect allegedly got back in the driver’s seat and dropped her off at her house without collecting a fare.

Garcia-Ramos will be arraigned Friday in Hempstead on child endangerment charges, police say. It’s not clear if he has an attorney.
