A Long Island woman was arrested Saturday night for driving drunk with three children in her car, officials said.

Zona Taylor, 43, was driving on Montauk Highway in Patchogue, with another adult passenger, her 8-year old child and two grandchildren, ages 4 and 6, when she became involved in a crash with another car, police said.

Taylor then fled the scene, but was followed by a witness who called police. Taylor was spotted on foot with the three children by officers on Dogwood Lane in Blue Point, police said. Her car had apparently broken down after the accident.

According to authorities, the adult passenger and the three children in Taylor's car were injured in the crash, as well as a passenger from the other vehicle involved in the accident. All were taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital.

Taylor was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
