Police say a Long Island man was attacked and robbed while walking with a shovel looking for snow-shoveling jobs.
Nassau County police say the 26-year-old victim was approached in Elmonth by two men who demanded money on Monday evening.
When the victim refused, police say one of the two men displayed a handgun and struck the victim in the face. The other man also produced a handgun while his accomplice went through the victim's pockets.
The gunmen fled without taking anything.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
