A Long Island man allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 12-year-old boy that lasted more than six months, police said.
Police arrested Joseph Tucciarone of Levittown on Friday, saying he had a sexual relationship with the boy between November and April that involved around 12 encounters at the victim's house. Tucciarone, 52, allegedly befriended the victim by offering him candy.
The victim's parents contacted police after they learned about the relationship, officials said.
Charges against Tucciarone included endangering the welfare of a child and a criminal sexual act in the first degree.
Information on a lawyer for Tucciarone was not immediately available.
