LI Gas Station Worker Shot, Wounded in Robbery

Authorities say a gas station employee is in serious condition at a hospital after being shot and wounded in a robbery on Long Island.
 
Suffolk County police said the man was inside his booth at the gas station on Route 112 in Medford, N.Y., around 8:40 p.m. Saturday. A man approached, displayed a gun and demanded money.

  Authorities said the man shot the attendant and fled the scene with some money.
