A 33-year-old man was killed after being hit by a car early Thursday morning in Suffolk County, police say.
The man was walking down Waverly Avenue in Patchogue about 2 a.m. when he was hit by a Honda sedan driven by a 29-year-old man.
The pedestrian, whose identity hasn't yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene, Suffolk County police say. Neither the driver or his 5-year-old child, in the car at the time of the crash, were injured.
The car was impounded for inspection after the crash, police say. No arrests have been made in the crash.
