Police on Long Island have arrested two men and a juvenile in connection with the burglary of a church in Huntington Station.

Police say officers responded to an alarm call at St. Peter's Lutheran Church just after 2 a.m. Wednesday and discovered broken windows and other damage.

Using a canine unit, officers tracked the suspects for more than a mile before locating them in the front yard of a house on Brompton Place.

Police say 21-year-old Javier Hernandez, 16-year-old Edwin Diaz-Hernandez and a 15-year-old were arrested on charges of burglary and criminal mischief. It wasn't clear if they had lawyers.

The juvenile was taken to Family Court and the other two are to be arraigned on Thursday.
