LI Chiropractor Charged With Forcibly Touching Patient

A Long Island chiropractor was arraigned Monday on charges that he forcibly touched a patient during an examination.

Police say 43-year-old Douglas Dukofsky forcibly touched the 21-year old woman's genitals while using an electronic massaging device on her legs Saturday at the Valley Stream Chiropractic Wellness Center.

The victim's mother was in the room at the time and demanded Dukofsky stop the exam. The two women left the office and called police.

Dukofsky’s lawyer, Douglas Reda, said his client denies the charge.

“He’s been in business for over 11 years,” Reda said of his client. “He has a very high rating, he’s never had any problems, any allegations ever made before. We think these allegations are trumped up and not true and we will be vigorously defending this action.”

Dukofsky was released to probation Monday and is due back in court in April.
