Police on Long Island have arrested two men following a chase in which the suspects allegedly fired gunshots at officers.
The chase ended when the suspects crashed into a vehicle involved in an unrelated fatal car accident.
Nassau County police say officers tried to question the men in Uniondale on Monday night. They fled and during the chase, one of the men hung out the passenger side window and fired at officers. No one was injured.
The chase ended at the Meadowbrook Parkway, when the suspects crashed into a vehicle from the earlier crash scene.
State police say a 23-year-old woman died in that three-car crash
The suspects were taken to a hospital for minor injuries. They face attempted murder and other charges.
A third man in the vehicle fled.
