Long Island Man Hid Heroin Packaged for Sale Under Hood of Car: Officials

A Long Island man was arrested over the weekend after police said they found 200 packets of heroin under the hood of his car, authorities say.

Police pulled over Eddickson Mulliz, 31, of Central Islip, at around 4: 30 a.m. Saturday after authorities executed a search warrant, officials said.

Authorities made the discovery of the heroin packaged for sale under the hood of his car stashed in the air cleaner, officials said.

Police also recovered a loaded gun from inside Mulliz’s apartment, authorities said.

Mulliz pleaded not guilty to several charges, including intent to sell a controlled substance, officials said.

It wasn't immediately clear if Mulliz hired an attorney.
