A Long Island high school student has been arrested on a charge of making a terroristic threat after he allegedly posted a video to Snapchat showing what appeared to be three handguns and indicating he'd bring one to school, police say.
A fellow student saw the video 20-year-old Shamari Gerrow of Baldwin posted, and reported it to school authorities, who in turn contacted Nassau County police.
According to court documents, Gerrow captioned the video of the guns, "Which one am I bringing me with me to school?"
Police say Gerrow fled when he saw officers at his school. Shortly before being apprehended, he was seen throwing a black handgun into a shopping center dumpster. A black air powered pistol was recovered.
Gerrow is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon on school grounds and making a terroristic threat. He's to be arraigned Friday in Hempstead District Court.
It was not immediately known if he's represented by a lawyer.
"It's crazy it's happening at my school," said student Tosai Adebayo. "We have so many security guards, and kids are bringing guns to school."

Classmate Isaiah Resto said he never saw Gerrow as dangerous.
"I had classes with him in ninth grade and he seems like a cool kid," he said. "I didn't think he would do something like that."
"It's kind of common now, that people think you can post anything without a consequence," said Olivia Gonzales. "So I guess this is a good story to learn."
