1. NYPD: Car Stolen With 2-Year-Old in Backseat, Woman Charged

A woman stole a car with a 2-year-old car in the backseat, then took off and hit a bicyclist, police said.

The child wasn't hurt, the NYPD said. A 36-year-old man who was struck was hospitalized for minor injuries, police said.

Adrea Aronald, 52, was charged with kidnapping, reckless endangerment and grand larceny, police said. The NYPD said she was emotionally disturbed and homeless. She stayed silent as cops led her away in handcuffs.

2. NJ Couple on the Way to Their Wedding Die in Crash

Loved ones are mourning a New Jersey couple who died in a chain reaction crash on I-78 while on the way to their wedding.

Kathryn Schurtz, 35, and her fiancé, Joseph Kearney, were driving on I-78 westbound in Windsor Township, Berks County, where the accident occurred.

Traffic was heavy at the time in both westbound lanes due to an earlier crash at mile marker 32.5. A tractor-trailer was traveling westbound and was unable to stop for the traffic ahead. It struck the couple’s vehicle which was then pushed into the back of another tractor-trailer, setting off a chain reaction crash that consisted of three more tractor trailers.

3. Dog Rescued in NJ, Reunited With Overjoyed Owner

A dramatic rescue in New Jersey was caught on video. 

It was a two-day rescue operation in Secaucus, where officials rescued a dog and reunited it with its owner. 

The mini Dachshund named Khaleesi was training with her owner in a park when she got distracted by a rabbit and chased it into a pipe. One she was in there she couldn't get out.
