Lilo Sued Over Spray Tan Swindle

Lilo has courted drama again -- this time over the tan-in-a-can the starlet claims to have invented. 

A Florida chemist sued Lindsay Lohan and her business partner for allegedly stealing the golden recipe and passing it off as their own, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

The chemist's complaint accuses Lohan's business partner, Las Vegas-based tannning artist Lorit Simon, of having signed a confidentiality agreement with Jennifer Sunday's company -- then breaking the contract and absconding with "trade secrets."

Lohan and Simon's fake tanner, named "Sevin Nyne" after Lohan's favorite numbers, launched this summer and sells for about $35 a bottle. 

"The next thing we know, Lorit Simon and Lindsay Lohan are partnering and Ms. Lohan is taking credit for developing this formula, which she indeed had no role in," Sunday's lawyer, Marcia Cohen, told the Times.

Simon's lawyer denied the charges, telling the paper that the final cocktail of ingredients for the tanning spray was just recently completed.

A representative for Lohan did not comment on the allegations. 

Lilo has been accused of sticky fingers before.

Last year a Columbia University student sued Lohan for lifting her mink coat while partying in New York. The coat was eventually returned sans apology.

In June, British authorities reportedly interviewed the star after Christian Dior jewelery worth $400,000 went missing after an Elle photo shoot. She was not considered a suspect.
