Light Snow Overnight, Larger Storm Possible Friday

Accumulations of around 6 inches of snow are possible in some spots Friday

Some light snow passed through the area Tuesday night as the chance of a more significant snow storm looms later in the week.

There were some scattering snow flurries across the tri-state area, amounting to less than half an inch of accumulation.

Wednesday should bring more sunshine as temperatures rise into the upper 30s. Temperatures are likely get close to 40 degrees Thursday.

A larger snow storm may arrive in the area Thursday night into Friday, with snow expected to begin falling overnight, mixing with rain along the coast.

Accumulations of around 6 inches of snow are possible in some spots Friday, though it is still too early to say with certainty.
