Leaf Blower Helps Rescue Kitten From Long Island Storm Drain: Police

The brown tabby and white kitten was found in a pipe between two drains, police said

Emergency workers used a leaf blower to coax a kitten out of a storm drain on Long Island on Sunday, police said. 

The kitten fell into the drain at Wellwood Avenue and Berry Street in Lindenhurst shortly after 11 a.m., Suffolk County police said. 

The brown tabby and white kitten was found in a pipe between two drains, police said. 

Emergency Service Section officers climbed into the drains and used a leaf blower to coax he kitten toward one of the officers, who removed it from the drain, police said.
