Expired Parking Meter

Two New York City lawmakers have introduced a bill that would create a five-minute grace period before drivers can be ticketed for parking violations.

The legislation, introduced by Council Members Simcha Felder and James Vacca, would apply to expired parking meters and alternate-side parking rules.

The bill has been referred to the Council Transportation Committee.
