LIRR Service Restored After Train Derailment

A train, which was not carrying passengers, derailed at Atlantic Terminal just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday

The Long Island Rail Road says full service to and from Atlantic Terminal has been fully restored following an earlier train derailment.

A train, which was not carrying passengers, derailed at Atlantic Terminal just after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported.

The derailment caused evening rush hour delays and some cancellations.
