L.I. Teen Charged with HS Shooting Threat

A Long Island teenager has been accused of threatening to "shoot up" a high school.

Anthony Larosa was arraigned Thursday on charges of making a terrorist threat, criminal mischief and making graffiti.

Nassau County police say Larosa left graffiti on the bleachers at a town park last month, indicating his intention to "shoot up" MacArthur High School on Oct. 15. The graffiti also included the warning: "This is not a joke."

Police did not indicate whether the 17-year-old was a student at the school. Calls to the school district offices went unanswered late Thursday afternoon.

A judge set bail for Larosa at $10,000 cash. His attorney did not immediately return a telephone call for comment.
