LI Man Dies After Getting Stabbed in Altercation

Authorities say a man found lying in the street died after getting stabbed during a fight.
Police responded to the scene at West 13th Street and New York Avenue shortly before 5 a.m. Saturday and found the man on the ground. He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
He was identified as Juan Carlos Benitez-Garcia, 31, of Huntington Station.
