Jury Gives Burglar his “Dunst” Cap

Found guilty in The Kristen Dunst Purse Snatching Case.

A Manhattan jury has officially given Brooklyn mechanic James Jimenez his “Dunst”  -- convicting him of burglary.

The verdict read just before 1 p.m. found that in 2007 Jimenez entered the penthouse at the Tribeca Grand Hotel and took bags and electronics that belonged to actors Kirsten Dunst and Simon Pegg, who were using the suite as a "green room."

The verdict concludes a case at which the actress was required to testify twice. Dunst presented for testimony earlier this week and testified once in 2009.

Jimenez had already been convicted of trespassing last fall but jurors could not reach an agreement on the burglary charge.

During the retrial both Dunst and Pegg  as well as their two assistants on the shoot were  asked about whether Jimenez and his co-defendant Jarrod Bienerman, who was a known heroin dealer and burglar, could have been on the floor delivering marijuana.

Jimenez faces up to 15 years in jail.
