The NYPD is warning Upper East Side residents about burglars who have struck several homes on July 4 in 2014 and 2015.
Authorities say that multiple units in buildings each of the last two Independence Days.
Last year, a man was caught on surveillance cameras inside an apartment on East 86th Street. The man made off with jewelry from that apartment, along with valuables from two other units.
Oddly, authorities said both buildings that had been hit had address numbers of 444. It's not clear if the units were targeted because they both contained the same numerals.
Police have posted fliers with a photo of the man in the 2015 heists around the neighborhood and have been talking with residents in the area.
