Fund Created for Slain ATF Agent, John Capano

He was killed while intervening in a pharmacy robbery on Long Island.

A foundation has been created for the family of an off-duty federal agent who was killed in an attempted pharmacy robbery on Long Island.

The Federal Drug Agents Foundation announced the fund Wednesday, the first day of John Capano's  wake.

Capano died Saturday, apparently by friendly fire from another law enforcement official, while trying to intervene in the Seaford robbery. The suspect was also killed.

Capano was married with two children.
