Jets Not Ready to Rule out Revis for Season

Revis is expected to have surgery on the knee in the next couple of weeks

Rex Ryan says the Jets are not ready to place star cornerback Darrelle Revis on season-ending injured reserve in case he recovers from a torn knee ligament in time to play in the Super Bowl.

Ryan says Friday that if there's a "0.0002 percent chance" Revis, who tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last Sunday, can come back and play and "if you are fortunate enough to get there, why not give Revis the option?"

Revis is expected to have surgery on the knee in the next couple of weeks, and Ryan says there isn't necessarily anything the team saw in the MRI exams to give them heightened optimism, but wants Revis to have the surgery before the team makes a final decision.
