Funeral Services Held for Baby Pushed Out Window

Dozens of people gathered Monday at Saint Bridget's Church in Jersey City to mourn Damien Bruno

Funeral services have been held for a Jersey City infant who authorities say was pushed out a third-floor window while in his mother's arms.

Dozens of people gathered Monday at Saint Bridget's Church in Jersey City to mourn Damien Bruno. The three-month-old died last Tuesday, four days after his father allegedly attacked his mother inside her home.

Authorities say Bruno repeatedly stabbed the mother and another woman, then pushed the mother into an air conditioner. That caused her and the infant to go through a window and fall three stories.

The woman landed on the child, who suffered multiple blunt force injuries in the fall. She remains hospitalized in critical condition.

Bruno faces numerous charges in the July 27 attack, including felony murder and two counts of attempted murder.
